While everyone is supposed to be engaged in one business or the other, there are people who can excel naturally in business, with little or no struggles. On the contrary, there still exist those who doesn't do well at all in business despite how much effort they put. Excelling in business is not a matter of how much effort you put into the business, but the strategies you put in place is what determines your output as a businessman. Unfortunately, there are certain set of people, who by their nature, they can neither put effort for the success of their business, nor have a suitable strategies to put in place. Today's content is going to focus on this; 

6 SET OF PEOPLE WHO FIND IT DIFFICULT TO DO WELL IN BUSINESS?

Now, you are going to understand by the time you're done reading this content, why it is normally said that; to excel in business, is not how far but how well. The 'how far' talks about the effort you put. But, the 'how well' is talking about, the strategies you are able to put in place. Below are the category of people, who always find it very diffult to do well in business profession;

1. THOSE WITH LITTLE OR NO VISION AND CLEAR GOALS: 

The foundation of every successful businessman, started with vision and a reasonable set goals.

What is vision in business?

In so much that vision is needed to be successful or excel in every field of life, but in business vision talks about the ability of any businessman to think logically and tactically, how he wants his business to be in the nearest future. It implies having a plan and a clear picture of the level you want to take your business to within the shortest possible time. That is to say, your vision as a businessman, pursues or moves you towards your goal. This is because, if there is no set goal, there cannot be any vision. If you have seen any successful businessman, the secret of his success is traceable to his vision and set goal. On the contrary, if you have seen any business that collapse or that is not progressing from season to season, the problem remains lack of vision. Thus, so many people want to enter into one business or the other, but if you lack the necessary vision, and a set goal, obviously you can never go far. It doesn't matter how much you have to start the business. Infact even if your fanancial capacity does not meet up with the business you want to run, with enough vision and proper set goal, just give it some time, the same business will begin to flourish. Therefore, a man that has little capital and great vision, can do better than someone that has enough capital and no vision, in a business enterprise. It therefore becomes important for you to know that, if you want to start a business, and you don't have the vision to guide you through the direction and level you want that business to rich, you better don't enter into it, or you wait untill you have developed a better vision for it. This is because those who lack this important business virtue, have never and can never do well in business. Though they may excel in other fileds, but for business forget it.

2. THOSE WHO CANNOT PREPARE FOR FINANCIAL RISK:

Risk taking is part of a business. Infact a real and successful businessman likes and appreciates it, when he saw any risk to take. Ability to take risk is what proves your proficiency as a good businessman. On the other hand, your ability to run away from risk, is your automatic disqualification as a businessman. 

What is risk in business?

In so many professions of life, risk is involved in one way or the other. Imagine someone becoming a pilot, a soldier, a ship sailor, even a football player, all these professions has some level of risks you must take, to be able to do well and excel in them. But when it comes to business, it involves a different aspects of risk. You need to know that as a businessman, any single opportunity you missed, can substantially affect your entire business or even lead to a collapse. Therefore risk in business means the ability to overlook the probability of making losses, in pursuit of a gain that may come out of a particular business opportunity. In this, the real businessman endangers himself, not minding what the outcome will look like. Business can easily change because of its nature, and prices can go high today and drastically come down the following day, if you are not a businessman, you can't enter into business at such cases. In certain businesses, the price fluctuates without a sign, it takes a man with the mind and spirit of a businessman to venture into such businesses. Thus, those that find it very difficult to take risk, have never and can never do well in business. Unless you develop the spirit and the mind of a real businessman, it becomes very difficult.

3. THOSE WITH POOR TIME MANAGEMENT:

You cannot talk about business excellence, without talking about proper time management. Those that made it, and those that are going to make it in business, must be able to demonstrate great adroitness in managing their time. While time management is also a valuable quality in any field of life, but in business, there is a level of time management skill that is expected of an intelligent businessman, that want to make the difference.

What is time management in business?

Once we enter into business, we can say that time management is the process whereby you as a businessman controls how you will spend your time in business activities so as to achieve effectiveness and increased production. What that means is; as a businessman, you have the power to control your time for the benefit of your business. Also, how well you manage your time, will determine how effective and productive your business will be and your overall profits as a businessman. You can now see that the success of a businessman is related to his ability to manage his time effectively. This time management can be seen in many areas, including;

* When you wake up to go for business.

* The time you spend attending to each customer.

* Time you spend organizing your products every day.

* Time you put to get every necessary items that should be in your shop, in times of shortage, and so on.

It therefore means that anyone who don't have a time management skill, should not try entering into business, else you jeopardize the whole thing. Though every profession needs proper time management, for you to excel, but there are certain professions that may not require the level of time management as in business. Hence, if you have no proper time management skill, don't stress yourself entering into business, rather you need to make research to find out the professions that may be suitable for you. But for business, forget it.

4. THOSE THAT RESIST LEARNING AND ADAPTATION:

While business is liable to change every now and then, it becomes paramount that anyone who is in business or who want to venture into a business, to be ready and willing to learn any time and every moment. Moreso, we are in the digital era, where you can wake up any day and hear that there is a new innovation in your business field, if you are not ready to learn and to adapt, it becomes very difficult for you to fit-in. Those that are ready to learn new skills and new innovations, can always fit-in to changes within their business field. Whereas those who cannot learn or adapt, will be playing the old in the new. This is one of the reasons many businesses slack back, with little or no progress. Also, your ability to adapt to changing business conditions, is what makes you a real businessman. Hence, if you cannot change or adapt with the changes in your field of business, it will be very hard for you to excel in such business. The truth remains that those who find it very difficult to learn new skills, acquire current knowledge and follow the trending innovation in their business field, cannot do well in business.

5. THOSE WHO HAVE A POOR COMMUNICATION SKILL:

In as much as success is concerned in any kind of business, good communication skill is thus indispensable. Many businesses that collapsed or that are not moving well, may be as a result of the poor communication skill of their owners. There are alot of benefits a good communication skill can offer for the growth and success of any business enterprise. Infact, when you communicate very well with the people who have been in the same field before you, it gives you more opportunities to know the tricks and secrets towards their success, so as to affect your own progress. By communicating effectively with people, you will get to know the trending challenges that may be affecting your business and how to tackle them all. Not only that, a good communication skill is needed for you to get customers, and to retain them as your real customers. Infact, so many businessmen were able to retain their clients for so long, as a result of their effective and good communication skill. On the contrary, so many businessmen lost their customers and clients due to poor communication skills. Hence, anyone that has a poor communication skill cannot do well in business.

6. THOSE WHO LACK RESILIENCE: 

Since business is synonymous with risk taking, and no businessman can survive without being ready to take certain risks that business may bring, it now becomes obvious that people who have resilience will always find it difficult to do well in business.

By resilience, I mean the ability to withstand and recover quickly from odd situations from business. To run a business is not always easy, due to the changing nature of business. Sometimes to your favour as a businessman, and some other times, against your wish. Thus, if you easily give up with little challenges which business may bring, it means you lack resilience. With such attitude, you cannot move on with the business and in such situation it becomes hard for you to put more money into your business. Therefore, those who don't have the strong mind to recover from business challenges, will haredly make it in business.

In as much as the above set people cannot do well in business, does not mean that all hope is lost. The above qualities and business virtues can also be improved in an individual.
